Joint visit to Eccleston Lodge

Visiting each other’s lodges is undoubtedly a cornerstone of Freemasonry. It is an opportunity to share comradeship, to enjoy each other’s company as well as on opportunity to learn more by seeing others in their lodge performing ceremonies.

For the past five years, St James Lodge No 8910 have been regular visitors at North Shore Lodge No 7916 who meet at Blackpool Masonic Hall.

North Shore Lodge have reciprocated these visits and in turn have become regular guests at St James Lodge who meet at Brookfield Hall, Westhoughton.

Five members of St James Lodge accompanied 10 members of North Shore Lodge on a visit to Eccleston Lodge No 7754 at their new home at the Ley Inn in Leyland. Also visiting Eccleston Lodge was Phil Cunnigham, an Assistant Provincial Grand Master in Cheshire and the current Acting Junior Grand Deacon of England who was a friend of the candidate.

They all gathered to witness the third degree ceremony for Paul Housden. Everybody agreed that it was an extremely well worked and professional third degree ceremony that was enjoyed by all.
