Members of the Chorley Blues Committee organised a night out starting at Chorley Masonic Hall. It was designed to encourage light blues from the Chorley Hall to participate in the upcoming events. Such as a tenpin bowling night which will take place on the 31st of March at the Reebok. The evening attracted a good turn out.
The evening started with a few pints, as light blues from all three of Chorley’s Masonic Halls mingled and chatted. This was followed by a steak pie meal, before the Chairman, Derek Robinson, took the floor to reiterate the aims of the group. As in its main goal of being a light blue social group.
After the meal, the brethren, a few non masons (who’d been invited by masons) and at least one dark blue, who signed the dining list as the imposter, proceeded on a leisurely stroll through the town, to check out a few of the micro pubs which had sprung up in recent times. These included the D’Owd Inn, the Shepherds Hall Ale House, and the tour culminated at the Ale Station.
Not sure I’ve heard a pub crawl described as a tour on that many an occasion.
