Tyldesley Lodge No 2572 were fortunate to be the first lodge to have a Masonic function in the newly refurbished dining hall at Brookfield Hall.
The traditional Old England Night attracted 65 Masons to the function and raised over £600 pounds for charity. The lodge has recently initiated two new members, Jamie Briggs and Keith Stokes both experiencing the old England night atmosphere for the first time.
They were entertained following the lodge meeting by Norman Prince.
Norman was the front man for the Houghton weavers for 24 years and is a personal friend of Wilf Farnworth, the current Master of Tyldesley Lodge.
Norman has also hosted a show on radio Manchester for many years and is currently employed by P&O cruises as a comedian and entertainer.
