Steven Lowe is master of St Bartholomew Lodge No 6071 which meets in Westhoughton and he reported that his wife Angela wanted to show loving support and solidarity with her best friend who is fighting a battle with cancer at present.
Angela said that she was also going to take part in the Macmillan Brave Shave for her dad and sister Carolyn who are both cancer survivors!! Sadly, Angela also wants to do this in memory of many loved ones that she has lost to this horrible disease.
Macmillan’s ambition is to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer and to inspire 1,000,000s of others to do the same. By braving the shave and raising money anyone can make sure that Macmillan Cancer Support can be there for people with cancer and their families; from help with money worries and advice about work, to listening when people just want to talk or have difficult questions.
The brave shave scheme has to date raised over £2,200,000 and Angela has raised over £600. For more information click on Angela’s fund raising page, visit https://bravetheshave.org.uk/shavers/angela-lowe/
