The members, wives and friends of Greenhill lodge No 6260 had a very busy summer break. There were two major events the first of which was a garden party with a WW1 theme. This was well attended with a large consumption of cream teas followed by tombola, raffles, games and of course a BBQ. The feedback was very positive and a very enjoyable time was had by all.
The second event was a family bowling day which was held at St Paul’s Church Adlington it was a glorious day which again was well attended and a fantastic day.
The competition was stiff but the winners of the bowls on the day where Andy Mehers and young master Charlie Moss (9 years old). Both events have raised round £700 for Greenhill lodges charity.
Ray Wilcock who is WM of the lodge said that it was nice to see the friendships shown in the lodge continue into the summer break and include family and friends.
