Tyldesley Lodge celebrate Christmas

Tyldesley Lodge held their Ladies to Dine Christmas meeting at Brookfield Hall.  It was supported by 166 guests who included members of Coronation Chapter.

The Worshipful Master Bro Edward Friar welcomed everyone and started the festivities.  Tyldesley Band were on hand to accompany the singing of traditional carols.  The ladies of the lodge were invited to sing Silent Night while the men were invited to sing God Rest You Merry Gentlemen.  The raffle (Westhoughton Swindle) yielded the magnificent sum of £562 pounds.

The Worshipful Master along with his Senior and Junior Wardens performed the traditional We Three Kings, however this year the kings were assisted by the King himself, Elvis.

To everyone’s delight, Tyldesley Band played a Christmas selection which included the popular Bavarian stand-up sit-down item.

The Brookfield staff was presented with a cheque in recognition of the festive board and their excellent service throughout the masonic year.

The Worshipful Master thanked all the guests for supporting the event and concluded the evening by wishing everybody a Merry Christmas and very Happy New Year, and most importantly a safe journey home.
